
Boca Raton, FL (CNS) - The 1st annual "World Champion" event was launched on Friday November 7 & 8 by founder's Gary & Videl Rack of the fastest growing GR Restaurant Management, LLC, Coal Mine Pizza in Boca Raton.
The impressive event included Food Network Star and 9 time undefeated world pizza champion Tony "G" Gimignani, Grammy award winner Scott Stapp, formerly of the rock band Creed, as well as Miss Florida America, Jaclyn Stapp. The event was coordinated to help raise awareness and support families and children in need.
The event kicked off its first night on Friday November 7 at 7pm with a live auction hosted by Auctioneer Gordan Latz. Impressively, Tony Gemignani's "The Margarita Extra Napoletana Style" was auctioned for $6,000 and was donated to the Scott Stapp "With Arms Wide Open" Foundation. Several other items such as the "Cal Italia" and "The Bellisimo" sold for $1500 and $750 respectively benefitting both the Andy Roddick Foundation and The Sun-Sentinel Children's Foundation.
"The World Champion" event involved tons of festivities for all families alike. The family oriented day was on Saturday November 8th 11:30am-3:30pm which included an acrobatic dough throw performance and dough tossing exhibition.
Scott and Jaclyn Stapp were there this weekend to help support their charity, The Scott Stapp "With Arms Wide Open" foundation, states Director of Public Relations of The Gab Group, Michelle Soudry.
Stapp created his foundation ten years ago and was inspired to write the song when he found out he was going to be a father. The foundation is now celebrating its 10th anniversary. The Stapps were encouraged to support the community and extend their mission of providing hope for children and help the families in need, explains, Soudry.
The event raised over $16,000 for several non-profit organizations including The Sun-Sentinel's Children's Fund, The Andy Roddick Foundation, and the Scott Stapp With Arms Wide Open Foundation.
