Creed Unveils T-Shirt and Pin Design at Orlando Hard Rock Café

On the heels of winning their first Grammy Award for “Rock Song of the Year,” the members of Creed today unveiled their new self-designed Hard Rock Café Signature Series T-shirt and pin which will benefit the With Arms Wide Open Foundation, an organization founded by lead singer Scott Stapp to assist underprivileged children and their families. Each limited edition T-shirt and pin features an abstract image of a parent holding a child with arms wide open, Creed’s log and Stapp’s signature. Creed’s Hard Rock Café Signature Serious T-shirt and pin are now available for a limited time at all Hard Rock Café locations in the U.S., Canada and Europe and at www.hardrock.com. Additionally, a select number of personally autographed shirts will be auctioned on www.hardrock.com to benefit the With Arms Wide Open Foundation. Founded by Creed frontman, Scott Stapp, the With Arms Wide Open Foundation seeks to fund organizations and groups dedicated to fostering and ensuring healthy, loving, nurturing bonds between children and their parents.

“Hard Rock shares our commitment to give something back to the community. The Signature Series partnership is designed not only to raise money for the With Arms Wide Open Foundation, but also generate awareness for the importance of supporting organizations that help build strong and healthy families,” said Stapp.

Hard Rock created its Signature Series T-shirt line in 1990 to benefit various charities. For this innovative T-shirt series, musicians and artists donate their original artwork, which are reproduced onto limited edition T-shirts to benefit the artist’s nominated charity. To date, the Hard Rock Café Signature Series has raised more than $4 million for a wide variety of organizations, such as Walden Woods, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, the Special Olympics and Riverkeeper. Artists who have donated a design for the series include Santana, Elton John, Peter Max, Don Henley, Sting and Aerosmith.

Creed, has achieved phenomenal success with its first two releases, “My Own Prison” and “Human Clay” with combined sales of more than 13 million copies. They are the first band in history to have four #1 Rock Radio singles from a debut album and have amassed an impressive collection of awards including Billboard’s Rock Artist of the Year in 1998.

Creed quickly gained a reputation for explosive and passionate live performances, which has led to sold-out shows and a rabid fan base. The band first worked with Hard Rock Café with an intimate concert at the Orlando Hard Rock Café jut prior to “My Own Prison” exploding on the scene in 1993. Just two years later Creed would perform a charity concert for more than 10,000 fans in the parking lot of that very Hard Rock Café. Additionally, their critically acclaimed video for “Higher” was filmed at Hard Rock Café’s state-of-the-art venue in Orlando – Hard Rock Live.
